Use Chunker to convert Minecraft worlds between Java and Bedrock Edition. This free tool was developed by the HiveMC team.

Converting a World

  1. Visit chunker.app
  2. Upload your world folder (Java) or .mcworld file (Bedrock)
  3. Click Start Upload
  4. Select the version/format you want to convert to
  5. Click Convert & Download and wait for it to finish
  6. Click Download to save the world
Download links are valid for 30 minutes. After conversion:
  • Java to Bedrock: Use the .mcworld file
  • Bedrock to Java: Copy the folder to your saves folder or upload it to your server

What Gets Converted

Can convert:
  • World files (biomes, blocks, tile entities, etc)
  • Level settings
  • Multiple dimensions
  • Items & containers
  • In-game maps
Cannot convert:
  • Player inventories
  • Entities
