# Convert Minecraft World Between Java and Bedrock

> How to use Chunker to convert your Minecraft world between Java and Bedrock.

Use [Chunker](https://chunker.app/) to convert Minecraft worlds between Java and Bedrock Edition. This free tool was developed by the [HiveMC](https://playhive.com) team.

## Converting a World

1. Visit [chunker.app](https://chunker.app/)
2. Upload your world folder (Java) or `.mcworld` file (Bedrock)
3. Click **Start Upload**
4. Select the version/format you want to convert to
5. Click **Convert & Download** and wait for it to finish
6. Click **Download** to save the world

Download links are valid for **30 minutes**.

**After conversion:**

* Java to Bedrock: Use the `.mcworld` file
* Bedrock to Java: Copy the folder to your saves folder or [upload it](/panel/importing-files) to your server

## What Gets Converted

**Can convert:**

* World files (biomes, blocks, tile entities, etc)
* Level settings
* Multiple dimensions
* Items & containers
* In-game maps

**Cannot convert:**

* Player inventories
* Entities
